Call for Research Papers Islamic Ethics and the Genome Question April 03-05, 2017

The Doha-based Research Center for Islamic Legislation and Ethics (CILE) is pleased to invite scholars, academics and researchers to submit their research papers to a closed three-day seminar on “Islamic Ethics and the Genome Question” to be held in Doha during the period April 03-05, 2017. The seminar is convened by CILE’s research unit ‘Islam and Biomedical Ethics’ as part of a publication project carrying the same title, in collaboration with Brill Publishers.

10/2014 Islamic Ethics in Era of Genome

The Research Center for Islamic Legislation and Ethics (CILE) resumes its series of events for the new academic year by organizing a public lecture on “Islamic Ethics in Era of Genome”. This event will be organized in collaboration with Qatar Supreme Council of Health on Thursday 2nd October 2014, 6:00 – 9:00 pm at B015 of Qatar Faculty of Islamic Studies, Hamad Bin Khalifa University, Qatar Foundation. The recent developments in the study of genes brought about many changes in the medical field along with numerous ethical concerns.
