Contemporary thinking on the concept of Ijtihad (religious reasoning) has passed through many different junctures and contexts. This seminar seeks to revive the history of the concept of Ijtihad in the modern era - its contexts, functions and methods that locate Ijtihad at the heart of the intellectual and social transformations within Islam.
The Center for Islamic Education De Toekomst (CIET) in collaboration with the Research Center for Islamic Legislation and Ethics (CILE) will organize a two-day seminar entitled "Introduction to Islamic Ethics", on January 30th and 31st, 2016, at the Education Center Guislain, Ghent.
In collaboration with Jibreel Institute, 5th and 6th march 2016, London, UK
An exclusive weekend with Prof. Tariq Ramadan
