Professor Mohammed Mustafa Zuhili holds a PhD degree in Comparative Jurisprudence from Al-Azhar University. He taught at several universities and is currently professor for postgraduate studies at the University of Sharjah. He was previously the dean of the Faculty of Sharia and Islamic Studies at the University of Sharjah, and the agent of the College of Sharia and Scientific Affairs at the University of Damascus. He is an expert in international jurisprudence academies, member of the Fatwa Committee at the Department of Islamic Affairs, a legal adviser to the Secretariat of Awqaf and a member of the Board of Trustees at the University of Tripoli – Lebanon. He has published 58 books, 146 peer-reviewed articles and 500 religious and cultural essays.
