Patrick Laude joined Georgetown University in 1991. He joined the School of Foreign Service in Qatar in 2006, where he currently teaches courses in religious studies. He was a Fellow in Philosophy at the Ecole Normale Supérieure in Paris from 1979 to 1982. He has authored over ten books and numerous articles in comparative mysticism and interpretations of Asian spiritual traditions and Islam
