Dr. Abdul Ghaffar Mughal

Abdul Ghaffar Mughal is currently a Research Asst. Professor with the Center for Humanities and Social Sciences (CHSS) of Qatar University.  He specializes in the nexus between international migration and development, and,  educational reforms in Muslim countries. He is the author of Twin Deficit of Education in Pakistan, and, Migration, Remittances, and Living Standards in Tajikistan. His current research is focused on different aspects of migration to the Gulf states and the impact thereof on both the sending and the receiving countries. He has an MA in economics, and a PhD in Political Economy and Public Policy from University of Southern California.
